Even een stukje geschiedenis wat wij vonden op het  internet

Het Internet is ontstaan in de jaren 60, als een project van het Ministerie van Defensie van de Verenigde Staten. De bedoeling was een netwerk te maken dat nog steeds zou werken als een bepaald deel plat zou liggen. Dus in plaats van op één lijn zittende computers, waarbij het hele netwerk niet meer werkt als één schakel ontbreekt, werden de computers in één web met elkaar verbonden. project werd ARPANET (Advanced Research Projects Agency Network) genoemd.

Om het netwerk over de hele wereld te kunnen gebruiken, was er een nieuw protocol nodig. Zo werd de IP (Internet Protocol) technologie ontwikkeld waarin bepaald werd hoe elektronische boodschappen ingepakt, geadresseerd en verstuurd worden via dat nieuwe netwerk.
Dit protocol werd in 1977 ontwikkeld en werd TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) genoemd. TCP/IP maakt het mogelijk om verschillende ARPANET te verbinden. Dit nieuwe geheel van netwerken werd al snel ‘Internet’ genoemd.

In de loop van de tijd is het Internet steeds sneller geworden door snelheidscomputers op goed uitgekozen plaatsen neer te zetten en met elkaar te verbinden waardoor de snelheid van het dataverkeer hoger wordt.
